Random Cricket Thoughts

This blog is about the sport of cricket. I'm Alan, a Californian now living in France, so my perspective on cricket is a bit unique.

Tickets Bought

There was some angst at first, but at around 7:00 a.m. this morning (6:00 in London) I was able to get into the Surrey ticket system and buy seats. Not cheap, but not eBay prices, either. So I picket up tickets for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the India test match in August, and for the Friday night 20-20 match vs. West Indies in late June. I had a choice of stands, and the prices varied. For the test I chose the Peter May stand, which is probably the cheapest at 40 pounds a seat. From my experience, it looks like a decent place to watch from, as long as you have a sun hat and an umbrella.

For the 20-20 I'll be in the Lock Lower covered area, which is 43 pounds per seat for that match (I think that area cost 50 for the test).
